What does HubSpot's seats-and-credits pricing mean for existing customers?

New EMEA customers pay for seats, records and HubSpot Credits from 1 October 2026. Existing customers should price their portal in the new model before their renewal.

From October 1st, 2026, new HubSpot customers in EMEA pay for seats, records and HubSpot Credits instead of hubs and marketing contacts. Existing customers keep their current pricing for now, but they should price their portal in the new model before their next renewal. In our example of a sales team with 5 reps and 2 admins on Sales Hub Professional, the list price goes from €598 to €950 a month.

What changes on October 1st, 2026?

HubSpot's Flexible Seats-and-Credits pricing replaces hubs with one edition per portal (Starter, Professional or Enterprise) and bills three things: seats, records and HubSpot Credits. It applies to new customers in EMEA from October 1st, 2026.

Seats. Every paid seat is priced at the portal's edition, and the seat type follows what the person does in HubSpot. Starter allows at most 10 paid seats.

GTM SeatPeople who work with customers: marketing, sales and service€20 a month€100 a month€175 a month
Ops SeatPeople who build automation, reports and data, and only read the customer-facing toolsNot sold€50 a month€50 a month

These are list prices with monthly billing, from HubSpot's pricing page and pricing supplement. The pricing page shows lower headline prices: Starter with a limited-time promotion for new customers, and Professional at €90 with annual billing.

Credits. HubSpot Credits pay for usage. Starter includes 5,000 credits a month, Professional 10,000 and Enterprise 15,000. Extra credits cost €0.01 each, or €10 a month per pack of 1,000. Credits reset every month and do not roll over. They now pay for:

  • email: every email except one-to-one email from a connected inbox, from 15 credits per send down to 0.5 at high volume;
  • workflow actions: from 3 credits per action down to 0.1;
  • AI: for example 50 credits for each conversation the Customer Agent resolves, and 10 credits for each Breeze workflow action.

Instead of paying all of this in credits, a portal can buy capacity. Each edition has one Marketing Pack with email sends, workflow actions and credits for one monthly price:

Professional and Enterprise can also buy separate email and workflow packs, for example €1,000 a month for 10,000 sends. Included calling minutes now scale with seats: 100, 250 or 500 a month per GTM Seat.

Records. HubSpot counts records of "all applicable object types": contacts, companies, deals, tickets and custom objects. Our calculator also counts logged activities such as calls, emails and meetings. Starter includes 25,000 records, Professional 250,000 and Enterprise 15,000,000. Above that, Starter and Professional pay €5 a month per 1,000 records, and Enterprise pays €100 a month per 1,000,000. Marketing contacts are no longer billed separately.

When do existing HubSpot customers move to the new pricing?

HubSpot has not said. Existing customers stay on their current pricing for now. The only precedent is 2024: HubSpot moved new customers to seat-based pricing on 5 March 2024 and said there would be "no immediate impact to current customers". Existing customers moved later, with a migration price increase of "approximately 5% or less at the time of subscription renewal" (HubSpot's announcement).

The useful question for an existing customer is what the portal would cost in the new model, and what to do before the next renewal. Our position: run that number now. At renewal there is no time left to change how your team uses HubSpot. Three numbers decide most of the answer: how many of your users work with customers, how many emails you send a month, and how many records you store.

Where do existing portals get surprised?

We ran example portals through our calculator. All amounts are monthly, in EUR, at list price and before any discount you negotiate.

One edition per portal moves Starter seats up

A common setup is Marketing Hub Professional for marketing and Sales Hub Starter for the reps. In the new model there are no hubs, so the reps follow the portal's edition. In our example, 8 Sales Hub Starter reps go from €20 to €100 a seat, the Professional GTM Seat. That is €640 more a month before email, records or credits. The whole portal pays €1,500 a month today and €2,950 in the new model.

Included email sends disappear

Today, a Marketing Hub Professional portal with a 10,000-contact tier includes 100,000 sends a month. In the new model it includes none. Our example team sends 30,000 emails a month. The cheapest way is the Growth Marketing Pack (€1,300, with 10,000 sends and 40,000 credits) plus 60,000 more credits (€600) for the other 20,000 sends: €1,900 a month for email that is part of the price today. It also stops paying €500 a month for its marketing-contact tier.

Starter has only the Base Marketing Pack, with 2,500 sends. A small Starter portal that sends 4,000 emails a month goes from €109 to €360 a month. At 10,000 sends the same portal pays €1,260 on Starter, nearly as much as on Professional (€1,300).

Records are billed, marketing contacts are not

A portal with 500,000 contacts and 2,000 marketing contacts pays for the 2,000 today. In the new model it pays for everything it stores: 752,000 records in our example (contacts, companies and activities). That is €2,510 a month for the records above the 250,000 that Professional includes. The same portal pays €1,150 a month for all of HubSpot today.

How can you see your own numbers?

Our free HubSpot pricing calculator prices your portal in the new model next to what you pay today, line by line. You describe your portal in five short steps, or you connect it to fill in the counts: the tool reads totals only and removes itself from your portal right after. Four example portals show a full result without sign-up. Every result states the rate card, its date and its assumptions. It is an estimate, not a quote, and HubSpot did not make or review it.

Plan the move before your renewal

The HubSpot Pricing Migration Plan costs $2,500, fixed price. You get the seat each user needs, the edition that fits your hubs, a credit budget for email, automation and AI with packs compared to pay-as-you-go, and a renewal brief with what to ask HubSpot for. FAQ

Do existing HubSpot customers pay the new prices from October 1st 2026?

No. Flexible Seats-and-Credits pricing applies to new customers in EMEA from October 1st 2026. Existing customers stay on their current pricing until HubSpot says otherwise, and HubSpot has not said when or how they move.

What is the difference between a GTM Seat and an Ops Seat?

A GTM Seat is for people who work with customers in marketing, sales and service, and it gives full access to the edition. An Ops Seat is for people who build workflows, reports and data and only read the customer-facing tools. On Professional, a GTM Seat costs €100 a month and an Ops Seat €50.

Are marketing contacts still billed separately?

No. In the new model a marketing contact is a record like any other contact. You pay for the records you store above your edition's included amount, not for a marketing-contact tier.

What is a HubSpot Marketing Pack?

A Marketing Pack is a monthly bundle of email sends, workflow actions and HubSpot Credits, one per edition: Base for Starter (€150), Growth for Professional (€1,300) and Scaled for Enterprise (€5,000). For a team that sends a lot of email, it is often cheaper than paying every send in credits.

Do unused HubSpot Credits roll over to the next month?

No. Credits reset every month and unused credits do not roll over. Extra usage costs €0.01 per credit, or you can commit to packs of 1,000 credits for €10 a month.
